This policy explains how MeaningsCheck (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you visit meaningscheck.com. We’ve tried to write it in plain language, the same way we write everything else on the site. In short: we collect as little as possible, we don’t sell your data, and reading the site never requires an account.

Who we are

MeaningsCheck is a free reference site for plain-language meanings that explains slang, abbreviations, and everyday words. We are the party responsible for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us any time at meaningscheck@seoclicks.pro.

Information we collect

We keep this deliberately minimal:

• Usage data (automatic). We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand, in aggregate, which pages get read and roughly how the site is used — things like page views, referring site, device type, and general location at a country or region level. This is anonymized and not tied to your name or identity.
• Information you send us. If you contact us, the form opens your own email client and sends your message directly to us. We only receive what you choose to type — typically your name, email address, and message.

We do not ask for, or intentionally collect, sensitive personal information, and there is no login or account system on the site.

How we use information

• To see which explanations are useful and improve the site.
• To fix errors and decide which new terms to add.
• To read and reply to messages you send us.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we don’t build advertising profiles about you.

Cookies and local storage

Analytics may set cookies to tell returning visitors from new ones. Your theme preference (light or dark) is stored locally in your browser so the site remembers your choice on your next visit — that value stays on your device and isn’t sent to us.

Third parties

We don’t sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising. Aggregate analytics data is processed by Google under its own privacy terms. Some pages link to outside websites; once you follow a link, that site’s own privacy policy applies, not ours.

Data retention

Aggregate analytics data is retained by Google according to the retention period configured for GA4. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request, after which we delete them.

Your choices and rights

You can block analytics cookies through your browser’s privacy settings or an ad-blocking extension at any time without affecting your ability to read the site. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. To make a request, email meaningscheck@seoclicks.pro and we’ll respond as required by applicable law.

Children’s privacy

MeaningsCheck is a general-audience reference site and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

International visitors

The site can be read from anywhere. If you access it from outside the country where our service providers process data, be aware that aggregate analytics data may be processed in other countries under the relevant provider’s safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or our tools change. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected here rather than sent to you directly, so it’s worth checking back occasionally.
